My name is Adam Ward, and I am Jefferson County's Prosecutor. I am proud to serve the citizens of Jefferson County and look forward to earning each voter's support in the 2026 election.  Serving as Jefferson County's Prosecutor isn't just my job - it’s my life’s work. I’m a career prosecutor who has handled everything from traffic cases to murder trials, and I’ve served as both a Senior Assistant Prosecutor and a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney coordinating a federal domestic violence task force. I’ve managed teams, prosecuted violent offenders, and stood beside victims when they needed someone to fight for them.

My wife and I chose to raise our family here because we believe in this community. As Prosecutor, I’ll be tough on violent crime, aggressive against drugs, and relentless in protecting children and the elderly — while also supporting victims and working closely with law enforcement so they have the legal backing they need to do their jobs right. This office is about one thing: keeping Jefferson County safe. And that’s a responsibility I take personally.
